WORKING SMARTER IN THE OFFICE!

THE CLIENT

A leading Australian road transport company, the client has operations that span across all states across Australia, providing logistics and bulk materials storage solutions to industries such as agriculture, manufacturing and fast moving consumer goods. The company is committed to creating a rewarding workplace for its people by valuing their contribution, encouraging personal development and recognising good performance.

THE PROBLEM

The client needed to embark on a re-organisation of work desk locations and office areas that was going to cause significant inconvenience, disruption and negative reaction from those concerned. They were looking for a way to bring order to the process and to end up with an efficient and popular office layout.

THE GESTALTIX® SOLUTION

Following the Improvement 123 Create Order kit, the 2-hour group workshop introduced the team to the benefits of re-organising work desk locations and arranging the office in a more efficient and pleasant manner. The office re-organisation then started and was completed within that working day. All involved agreed that both the team building and results achieved made the office re-organisation a resounding success! In addition, the Create Order approach facilitated a team work-area discussion and collaboration that, according to the client, had not occurred in a very long time. The senior manager overseeing the move attributed this successful outcome and the relationship building to the Create Order kit and team improvement workshop.

“I have to say, there was far more achieved on the day; not only in a much better the office layout, there were also benefits in the team building as well.”
